Corundum series of bricks are produced using fused corundum, industrial silicon powder and alumina powder as starting materials, firing at high temperature by nitridation solid solution reaction. Compared with the mullite bricks, mullite bonded corundum bricks, chrome corundum precast block and mullite bonded corundum precast block for ceramic cup, the products are featured with long service life, high hot strength, good high temperature creep resistance, corrosion resistance, slag resistance, alkali resistance and thermal shock resistance, so they are high quality materials for ceramic cup in severe operation condition. Meanwhile, the products are also used in the lower part of stack, belly and bosh of BF.
